I’m currently in the market for an air compressor. I’ll mainly be using it for spraying, and possibly getting a cheap brad nailer too. I know next to nothing about them so if someone can point me in the direction of an inexpensive, quiet one I’d be much obliged.

Thanks

Can't go wrong with the SGS engineering ones, for the money you get very high CFM ratings which you'll need for spraying. They tend to do packages too which help you get started. Give them a Google!

Cheap and quiet tend not to go together :)

If the main use is spraying have you considered HVLP which gives a better finish while giving less overspray. I think there are posts on here somewhere about HVLP.

A brad nailer does not use much air so a small compressor that would not be big enough for spraying would be more than adequate. I have a little bostich compressor I use with a framing nailer for fencing and while I can keep it busy I never have to wait for it.
