Advice on sticking carpet to stone floor!

..need to fasten carpet to some stone steps...wondering if anyone could offer some advice?

Try hoovering and then sealing the stone and then using a carpet adhesive/you could also try contact adhesive in the aerosol can but not sure it’s strong enough- either way you’ll need to seal the stone 1st .

I would use stair runner rods. I would not glue the carpet to the stairs.

My apologies Mis-read the post as stone floor not steps , I’ve given myself a slap and would agree it’s not good advice. So sorry about that and agree with stair rods .
