Just for the record, a Galoot isn't old, but the hand tools he or she likes to use are. Really a galoot is a member of the Old Tools List, but the term gets stretched.

A not very anonymous, and extremely young, galoot. :p

I'm back.

S'pose I'm a bit of a Galoot really, 'cos I've got loads of old, some very old, hand tools. Problem is finding time to get into 'em and use 'em. Too many balls bouncing about at the moment - bikin', gardenin', getting ready for our summer exhibition at Clevedon next month, and looking after LOML!

Now I know you are not very anonymous, Alf, but exactly how extremely young are you? Or is it impertinent to ask such a question, although your post did rather ask fer it!

Cheers,

Trev.

The give away. You can work it out to a couple of years either side from the link above. If you are "in-the-know". Actually I could have posted a more specific link, but thought I'd better spare ALF's blushes a little  All the info is in there though.

Nice one Adam :)

I have been guilty of a disservice to Alf, comments she made in an old thread about age made think she was older than her years.
