A little bit more than £20 but the Chappell ones available from CHT or Dieter Schmid (FineTools) are accurate and easy to read.

I have a bright yellow no-name one. I bought it from one of those cheap market stalls at a show few years ago. It cost the princely sum of £2 and it is as accurate as I can measure. Definitely a bargain.

I've had one of these for just over 2 years now and its as accurate as I need it to be for squaring up & marking out panels.

IIRC, it was about £70. https://www.bohle-group.com/worldwide-e ... race-black

i've tried a few of the cheaper metal roofing size squares, but none of them were a patch on this Bohle one. They are normally used as a square for marking & cutting glass.

They do various sizes, mine is the 800 x 340.

This was very helpful

Those other two are on the other end of the spectrum :p

Anything for around £50 ?

If you do not need the size of a framing square the Swanson speed square is reasonably accurate.

You might like to check out my thread on making a high accuracy square-setting jig:

The jig that I made is self-calibrating (because 4 right angles make a complete revolution) and once set then has proved very stable in use. I check it from time to time but it hasn't changed in a year. It hangs on the wall of the workshop and before anything critical I check the square against it. You could easily make it for the size of a framing square.
