Mumpsimus: a 16th century word for someone who obstinately sticks to their opinion, even when they've been proved completely wrong.

Might come in handy. :D

I got gluebox - which probably isn't a word.

C L I T came up the other day. Plus these I was laughing at whilst on holiday.

Since countdown doesn't go out live, they have a simple procedure for when a contestant comes up with a winning, but unbroadcastable, word.

They simply pick some more letters, and rig things so that the letter counts for the resulting words are as they were before, and go with it.

So - any "rude" words you actually see on countdown-as-broadcast have been deemed tame enough not to need the edit.

For CatsDown, of course, it's pretty much the ruder the better.
