A plastic chuck?

Call me a cynic, but surely this can't possibly be any good - can it?
I search e-bay regularly in the hope I may find a bargain. This popped up in a search, and my flabber was immediately in a state of gastation.
Seems they've sold 7 of them. I wonder how many get returned?

I have made several jaws out of various plastics and found them invaluable when turning some items where I have to hold a piece but cant afford to leave any marks on the finished surface, so yes I can belive it.

The jaws will limit what could be done with the chuck but for small stuff it would probably be ok.

Mounting plastic jaws on a steel chuck I would say is fair enough, but how long would the adjusting screws last on one of these? Especially if the mechanism is also ABS.
