Hello to all
I am new to woodturning and have just purchased a secondhand Myford ML8 lathe.
But I have now discovered its well beyond what I require as a beginner and to be honest a tad to large for my Shed.
It's a there and just needs to be asembled it does have both face plates a couple of centers and a 4 jaw chuck but I have noticed that one of the screws are damaged on the said chuck.
I am curious if anyone knows of the approximate value as I am looking to move it on and hopefully use the funds toward a more suitable lathe for me to learn on.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Ade

£200 - £500 depending on condition?

£200 basic lathe poor paint etc.

£500 Good condition cabinet / drawers and speed controller.

What's wrong with it? Just too big?

I'd sell the family before my lathe!🤣🤣🤣

don't do it, get a bigger shed.....
that lathe will still be working when ur grandkids are able to use it....

PS. I have a 1930's Wadkin lathe thats still working so it can be done...
It's the Roll's Royce for the DIY'er....

Firstly thank you for your reply
And yes a bit oversize for my work area
I have a record lathe that I use now was looking for one that had a better speed range but have now decided I am just going to save and get a variable speed one later this year.
So I will put this one up for sale.
