A line of 'Terry' clips screwed to a 4" wide batten. This is screwed to the wall above the bench. The chisel edges rest in a rebate worked into a 2" wide batten fixed at an appropriate distance below the clips. As the chisels become shorter with grinding/honing, there's not a problem, until they're so short they flop around in the clips. Solution; move the clip down a bit! :D Some people don't like Terry clips as they can mark the handles, but once you get the sizes right, there's no real problem. A better solution for me, than those pesky, chisel caps that end up getting lost!

I agree John, that's pretty much how I have my woodturning stuff too, simple is often best :)
