Got adventurous and started to prepare timber from logs, the first time for me.
I was given three ash logs two years ago from a garden two doors away.
So I made up a kind of trestle and screwed the first log in position.
Took of a thin slice to get the feel of the action.
The timber looked nice and workable to me.
So finished up cutting the log.
I do confess that the cuts are not straight and even thickness. The log quite honestly was as much as I could handle, so will not be going in depth for loggin and preparing again in the future apart from using up the other two logs.
