From the OWWM list, a 20" Dewalt RAS set for a horizontal cut to make timber braces:

Tell me. Why did he slide the timber for the cheek cut and not use the arm? Boy that motor is a big one if that a 20" blade :lol:

I take it you flip the brace to the other side and turn it over for the other cuts. I see its dressed timber so i guess it would work. if it where ruff sawn you would need to reference the same side away to keep the tenon thickness and position.
How he cut the tenon on the log posts or rafters.

Using the sled meant that the guardless head was staying in one place, with the open blade mostly out of the way. Also, since the lumber was rough cut, the sled made for a more even slide across the table without danger of it rocking. I think the motor is 7.5 hp.
