45mm black mopstick end cap?

All I can find are chrome, brass or nickel. Really after black, to match the rest of the house.
I can find black in 54mm, but not in 44mm.
Any suggestions gratefully received...

Buy turned wooden balls from a craft shop, drill to fit, colour black.

I gave up and ordered brass. I reckon it'll look OK once they start to tarnish. Might have to strip the lacquer off...
But thanks for the suggestion. I will bear it in mind if things go wrong.

The good news is blackening of brass is very well know process.

Selenium dioxide solutions are readily available for finishing.

The bad news is, they cost less than £10 but postage takes it nearer to £15-20 :(
