    The bucket list

Scottish ridges. I've been wanting to add the Aonach Eagach for some time now; that would make my mainland bucket list complete. The 'Inn Pin' would be a whole new ball game....😲

    Electra Beckum HC260 Help

That belt is coming off the smaller cog first. Not the big one. I have the same machine; my bet is on a worn belt.

Can anybody beat this for old equipment

If John Hancock envy is "penile" What's the adjective for heavy iron lust? Forgile? Can't be Castile..... Gets hat, coat, vaults over Wadkin on way out....

Hi, new member from Yorkshire here!

Yeah, some is even sensible ( except Jacob!). Welcome aboard from a sodden and gusty Northumberland. Still no swallows, lads.

Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

I DO have a Lidl multi tool. I abuse it royally; amongst other things, using it to saw through rivets and concrete-like mastic holding B.R. windows in a B.R..carriage (we're renovating it). So far, it is rugged and dependable. It's use allows me to reserve my much more expensive Bosch for...

    Hi from Edinburgh

Funnily enough, we have a member called "Droogs", also from Edinburgh! Wecome aboard. I'm regularly down in Leith where (No1 Child resides) and I have yet to find a good woodyard. Good Luck!

    Removing paint from cement

Careful! Depending on the composition of your wall outer face, a pressure washer may eat holes in soft material! I've got ornamental "Budda's tummy" blockwork and it just cannot be thus hosed.

    feasability

Not sure which board type johnnyb is referring to? I saw unpainted O.S.B. used as barn siding and after 20 years, it was weathered, but unbowed (literally). Facing south admittedly, but still going. It was demolished for housing.

Microjig Matchfit topper for existing bench?

That top looks too anaemic to bear clamp rails cut into it, certainly. The legs are also spindly. How about two extra leaves of 25mm ply? One glued to the existing top and the other screwed to the resulting sandwich? Then, some 'beef it up' supplemental laths to thicken and strengthen the legs...

How are you storing your tools?

Wot Phil said: workbench, clamp rack, saw till, measuring and marking rack, shooting/chuting board....

    Removing some of truss Webbing

I read the title of this thread as adjusting Liz Truss's over-shoulder-boulder-holder. 😳 I DO need that therapy....😧

Rhodesian Teak for making box ?

Depends on the teak. Some of it can be very coarse grained and look a bit 'splintery' when you are done tooling it. The 'Oul' Fellas' used grain fillers quite a lot with some of the pieces I used. From memory, Brummer stopper and coarse sacking to rub it in. Edit: yes, it blunts tools. Even...

    Chamfer router bit

I find a selection of different sized bearings of more use when chamfering, rather than the actual chamfer dimensions or shaft size. They allow you to use different parts of the carbide and even out wear.

    Need to escape/reset

Stig, Mucker, this is a common "delay" tactics used - particularly by established beaurocrats - to deflect and delay having to take action, or spend money. The next step is to "convene a working group" or similar tosh to have a talking shop instead of taking a (possibly) contentious decision...

    A B&D Grinder repaired.

Bl**dy well done Mucker! I have prised and fiddled about with those damnation switches in the past. Wish I had bought you a pint 20 years ago.
