    Car documents

I've never liked the idea of carrying anything in my wallet that has my address on it.

    Question for you all.

Interesting question. I'm right handed and cut clockwise round the outside. Having thought about it I think it must be that I push with my right hand and guide with my left...I think it may just be visibility that makes me go clockwise.

As a (new) nation, we'll live longer, be thinner and more healthy as well

    Everyone Vote in Scotland Independance

That Salmond chappie seems to have incited a certain amount of racial hatred.

Whichever way the vote goes, one thing seems certain - a rift has been created :|

    BIRD TABLE

Good work, Wizard! I've haunted a number of different forums over the years and woodworky people have often proved themselves to be the most friendly and helpful.

    David's story: Road Safety Campaign

Sympathies to all involved. This is an interesting read http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/raf-pilo ... -cyclists/ Quote “Sorry mate, I didn’t see you”. Is a catchphrase used by drivers up and down the country. Is this a driver being careless and dangerous or did the driver genuinely not see you?

    Dodd 6" Planer?

Thanks! I'm well chuffed with it. Funny you should say that! I've been searching the forum for tips, but most of what I've found so far features hand tool restorations. It takes me a little while to do things these days, I'll try and photograph along the way - when I get round tuit :) First...

What size particles are removed by a cyclone? I jumped the gun a bit a while back and bought a twin bag extractor..seems I need something to remove the finer particles.

    Toolstation Dovetail Jig?

That was quick! Thanks, Robin. Both the Axi and Ts versions get good and bad reviews.. It's always good to get feedback from a forum member.

    Toolstation Dovetail Jig?

On offer at the moment for £30 http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Clearan ... 680/p67172 Has anyone used one? As with any new tool I'd expect to have to learn how to use it but is it useable? I was tempted by the Axi version the other day, but thought 50 quid was a bit much for an impulse buy...

    Small planer/thicknesser. Bargain or junk?

I think so too! If it runs, buy it! And then either have fun using it, or have fun tinkering and fettling. Thanks for posting that! It's obvious now, but I shall endeavour to remember to move the fence on my recently aquired planer every now and again, and also to check how worn the blades are...

    ...............

I know what you mean re the recycling places. Whenever I visit one I see perfectly useable junk just crying out to be repurposed. One man's trash and all that :|

    ...............

That sounds promising! I'll keep fingers crossedI don't bodge it too badly.

I just got a box of 15mm thick bamboo flooring from one of the facebook selling sites that are springing up. Think it's about 2m^2 bargain for a fiver :-) Not tried cutting it yet, might be rubbish...
