I am not sure how dry it was i bought it a few weeks ago kiln dried. I thicknessed it equally then once glued i ran it through the planer again i maybe put it through the planer once glued too early causing it to move? :?

I will be cutting this section in half from 300mm to 150mm will this help? Would it have been better to make more thinner sections than using 2 boards to make it 190mm wide?

When you cut your tenons with the RAS do they need to be cleaned up with a shoulder plane or do they meet without any trimming?

Hello everyone i have made a small table with a glass inlay top and i have routed a rebate to hold the glass and rather than have the glass sat straight on to the oak is there any type of sticky back rubber or felt to put down first if so where could this be purchased? :)

Their are four screws securing the fence to the bed and i slackened all four thinking i may be able to adjust them accordingly but it was not the case and when fully tightened up when you put pressure on the work piece it moves the fence back further off the square.

Having bought a brand new SIP BM yesterday,i set it up today to try it out and the fence is not at 90 degrees.When i clamp the work piece onto the morticer it pushes the work piece even further off the square producing very squint work! is this a product fault or is this just a case of you get...

Hi :D I recently got some free oak batons from a friend,they are 40mm thick x 200mm wide.Iam wanting to start my next project by using up this oak and i need it to be 16mm thick,if i were to rip it up the middle and plane it to 16mm will it cup?Is there a method/rule when ripping up stock?

Does anyone have advice on how many coats of danish oil needed for oak ,its for an internal peice of furniture?

After making the sides of the chair this is it so far.Does anybody know how to cut the angle of the mortices with a mitre saw,when i cut the one side then flip it over to cut the other side the angle of the saw is the opposite angle?

Cheers Unib,the mitre saw is not vey accurate it has a lot of wander :x its not too bad on small cuts close in but wider bits of hardwood when you use more of the slide it is all over the place!!
