    Car boot thread

Afternoon ladies and gents, didn't see a thread so figured i'd throw one up. Bit of a gloat too ;-) Just committed robbery after purchasing a John green (slightly abused) half round for £2 and assorted other totalling £20. Some fairly early 19th century makers. Included in that was a snipe bill...

New plane cabinet - mini WIP

I figure it's time to stop lurking and get stuck in with the things i make for better or worse! For some time now i've had more planes than room to store them, i built a cabinet from salvaged bits and pieces as a temporary measure over a year ago (we've all been there i think!). So, having...

    Car boot finds

Think i did quite well out of a local car boot (Bradford airport). A box of some 20 moulding planes of varying sorts and conditions. Looks like they have experience a house fire at some point as many of the wedges were scorched but are easily replaceable. They were in fairly grotty condition...

    Square identification help

Just bought these two at a local bootfair but am unsure of the maker. The style of the brasswork looks familiar but i'm drawing a blank unfortunately. Any help you could provide would be super, thanks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/42684377@N04/4982027089/
