    Free Vices

I have a couple of woodworking vices laying around and keep tripping over them. If anybody can use them they need to collect from Leicestershire. 1) Record 52 in good working order. 2) 52D no makers name, but has a fast open/close lever, also in good working order. Dennis

    Help - I've got a Delta 40-570

I recently bought a second hand scrollsaw, well most of one, apparently a Delta 40-570 although there doesn't seem to be a delta model number anywhere on it. I had to sort out the switch which didn't work, a quick blast of air sorted that and put a new power lead on it. The machine now runs :)...

    Jorden's Part 2 Intermediate submission

Last thing at night, one of the things I like to do is kick back on the sofa, putting my feet up on the poofe, while savoring a bite of my favorite chocolate. My chocolate store is in the poofe (which has an opening lid) and I suspect the chocolate pixies have been helping themselves to my...

    Looking for Latches

Hi All I'm looking for a push to close/push to open latch for a current project. They used to be used on some cupboard doors so that you could push the door closed with a click, then push it again and the door would spring open a little. Anyone seen any around? Dennis

I've got to uprate my dust ex!

After a lot of complaints from SWMBO about tracking sawdust into the house and about the air quality in the workshop when I'm sanding I've come to the conclusion that I have little choice but to uprate my dust extraction. With this in mind Sarah and I took a trip down to a little Cotswolds...

    Any Old Iron

Last year SWMBO and I had a chance to run down to Gloucestershire to pick up an old cast iron planer and 2 horse motor. We had an excellent trip in which Sarah was introduced to 'rough cider', :occasion5: but that's another story  The planer and motor must weigh a couple of...

I'm looking for a pillar drill

I've just spent 4 days re-organising my little workshop and found a space which I'd really like to fill with a pillar drill. I'd prefer floor standing, and solid construction as it will get used :!: I tried Ebay, but lost out on two drills, so I thought I'd ask here on the off...

    Rip Fence Upgrade

I'm thinking about upgrading the rip fence on my Xcalibur table saw so I can get rid of the back rail and fit an outfeed table. I've seen the one Rutlands sell but don't want (can't afford) to pay £300 for a fence, and the Axminster offering is much too small sadly. Anyone got any ideas...

The drawer cabinet is finished, and was presented to Sarah, the wife who was literally speechless when she saw it :o The cabinet is made from strips of 12mmx12mm oak and ash, steam bent (a first for me) in a home made steamer and made up into slices of the cabinet plan. The slices were then...
