    Timber planing service around London

Well that doesn't seem too much of a challenge. I pm'd you yesterday (thought I had sent this reply at the same time, but neglected to hit send), let me know if you got it ok.

    Timber planing service around London

Exactly where are you b0z0r? I'm in Welling (DA16) if that's close enough, and could do this for you if you really think it's worth it - there would have to be a reasonable charge obviously. Be aware there will be significant wastage to achieve flat and true boards - are you after just cleaning...

    Clarke Table Saw CTS10D

Looks like there should be a circlip in that groove.

    Skil saw blade recommendations.

Methinks you're not getting far with a kerf that is smaller than your riving knife. You'll end up trying to push a 2.4mm RK through a 2.2mm gap - a recipe for disaster with a powerewd saw of any kind surely?

Scheppach TS2500ci set up and operation help

Short answer is I don't - it's the wrong tool for that job. Down to about 150mm is Ok with care, after that I'll use the chopsaw or cut the small peice from a larger one, or cut by hand/bandsaw and square on a shooting board. One thing I'm sure you know (but always worth repeating) is that you...

Scheppach TS2500ci set up and operation help

The bearings are 6000-2z like these there would be no harm (and probably a good idea) to use rubber sheilded ones instead i.e 6000-2rs. The sliding table rail is adjusted in 3 axes using a combination of shims (supplied with the saw originally) between the mounting brackets and cabinet legs...

    Adapting a Numatic NVD750 to take 100mm

I've got the wall mounted version of that extractor which has a 100mm inlet. I have about 5-6m of ducting between it and my 12" P/T and it copes admirably. Your bugbear used for P/T will be capacity - I have a dustbin dropbox with a lashed up cyclone lid next to the P/T which catches almost...

    Issues with Scheppach ts2500

Got one of these as well, and periodically have the same issue. You need to clean the lead-screw that operates the rise and fall, a job which unfortunately can only be done from below. Give the machine as good a vacuum out as you can before getting down there with a small brush and the vac to...

    Sketchup - 32bit version?

Droogs has nailed it - that's the one I was after. Thanks to all for the help - just got to get to grips with it now.

    Sketchup - 32bit version?

Thanks Brentingby - still no 32bit free version there that I can see though, only the pro one which I already have.

    Sketchup - 32bit version?

Thanks Eric, didn't realise that the pro version reverted rather than just ceases like most other trials. Have since discovered that the "proper" free version is now web based, but it refuses to run due to an unspecified browser gl support error (despite having the latest version of chrome and...

    Sketchup - 32bit version?

I tried Sketchup years ago when it first came out but just couldn't get on with it, but I have the time on my hands now to give it another bash and really see if I can get to grips with it. However the only free version available for windows, now that Google has sold it off to Trimble, is 64bit...

    What wood is this?

Looks like Yellow Balau to me, density sounds about right too.

    Dust Extraction Help

Not if you want to use something like the Clark one you linked to - they work by moving large volumes of air with relatively low pressure drop compared to vacuums. For that reason adding a Hepa filter to such a machine is probably a non starter - that type of extractor doesn't fare at all well...

    Dominos and glue..

Custard, that made me laugh - recognised every word of that!

    Dominos and glue..

Having made a mistake or two during glue ups, I'd be surprised if there's any point. Even with normal PVA I doubt I could get a domino joint (or biscuit for that matter) apart again even deliberately after 10 minutes or so. I'd happily drop the clamps off after about 20 under normal...

    Working very small pieces?

Honestly, and i'm not trying to cast aspersions here, I think that when you've had a go at making a 20 sided die 22mm in diameter you may think they're not that expensive. I wish you the best of luck though, and hope you will keep us updated on progress if you decide to have a go - I for one...

    Pillar Drill advice

I've got that exact PP drill. Bought for a nadge over £100 I think from B&Poo of all places, it has served me very well for close on 20 years. Plenty accurate enough for woodworking and I've never had cause to moan about lack of power, though occasionally get stalling from belt slippage if I'm...

    Working very small pieces?

Do you know anyone with a 3D printer? Can't begin to imagine how you make them out of wood without a very significant jig building session. I mean, if you had been asked to make many hundreds of each it might just be feasable/economical, but otherwise just buy them.

    TRA001 User Error?

Just had a look at mine and realised there may be a simpler problem. Have you checked that the plunge depth stop locking screw is released - perhaps you are trying to lift it further than the depth stop wants to allow?
