Hi Lee as the piece is less than a 1/4 inch long there was no give and the plastic is quite hard almost no flex in it , I tried it with and without and the reading was identical.

Thanks guys i found a firm who sells 3/4 by 3/8 inch flat steel bars to fit my saw track, the only thing I 've got to do is drill and tab for the screws.

hi colin thanks for your reply great info ,the size of the shed is going to be 3m by 4m which gives me 12m square with pitch roof how high can i go with the roof? the walls will 2.5 meters . o i forgot the floor will be 100mm solid concrete. best regards

hi mate i know how you feel. i do a bit sea fishing , in winter i use to use cushioned wellies suppose to keep your feet worm but they were rubbish so i bought a pair of boots from lidl i think they were £16 and they have steel have caps but very comfy , feet worm but could not feel my finger tips.
