Dashboard Hinge / Guid Rail Bracket

I had a little play today. There are things I can definitely improve on, but I’m happy the concept will work for a fast, accurate, mobile solution. I need to get better at using a router etc. but it definitely works. My setup is Toughbuilt c700 saw horses, 2x4 placed across them, MFT sat on top...

    Vintage low angle jack plane

i have a Veritas crosscut carcass saw after a recommendation on here, that I use for crosscuts of small pieces when I’m not dragging out a track saw etc. I really like it and want to a add a low angle jack plane, both in a shooting board to go with the simple bench hook I built for the saw, but...

Dashboard Hinge / Guid Rail Bracket

It is a lot of money for a hinge, but hopefully a buy once purchase. The design, build quality and finish justifies the price in my eyes, especially compared to the Festool thing. Pleased to have found the perfect track for it too.

Dashboard Hinge / Guid Rail Bracket

I recently ordered the Dashboard Hinge for delivery to the UK. I spent quite a bit of time deciding on the right track to hold the T-Bars (not t-bolts, though they can be ordered. In the US, they specify 15 series TSlot extrusion, but 40 would be fine in the UK. However, the 40 extrusion was a...

    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

At least everyone is in agreement that my square is trashed and should be replaced. I could frame it though as a momento to my most controversial post from what I thought was a reasonably mundane question 😀 Wishing you all a rain free weekend. And with that, I’ll get my coat.

table saws and plunge saw (with guide rails tracks) advice/recommendations...

That looks like a very nice saw. No noisy motor, no batteries or plugs :) I’ll wander over to the handbook section.

table saws and plunge saw (with guide rails tracks) advice/recommendations...

I have a Makita track saw that is great for 90% of things, particularly cutting sheets for cabinets etc, and I expect if I had a permanent setup could do 99%. But because I work outside and have to drag everything out when I want to use it, making some small cuts feels a pain. I was even...

    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

More because it’s inherited. I’m doing a WM625 as well.

    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

I’m still going through some inherited tools and would like some advice on a Marples try square. The handle and face plate look like they will clean/polish up fairly easily, but the blade is completely trashed. Before I start at it are there any pointers on the best way to go about? Also, for...

    Evolution R255TBL Table Saw

I assume the new Evolution jobsite bench saw is not out in the wild yet? It seems that a few YouTubers that have been given them for free have them. It looks fairly similar to the Dewalt 7485, certainly the fence mechanism, plus they seem to have fixed the mitre track size and the plus model...
