    Router for door hinges

Which router would you recommend for use with door/jamb hinge jigs? I already gave a table mounted 1/2" router but it's a bit heavy for doing the jambs. I'm not a professional, it's just for my house renovation, then to be used as a general purpose hand held router. Thanks

I've successfully split my granite worktop into two pieces (I'm moving the cooker) and now need to fill the joint between one of the pieces and a length perpendicular to it. Yet another dust extraction post!

We cut quite a lot of 2mm mdf on our table saw. The existing extractor was built by Noah and has just given up the ghost. What do the learned panel suggest I replace it with? At the moment I also use a spindle moulder and router table, but only occasionally, and only for wood, both hard and...

    B&Q / Screwfix DeWalt Drills

B&Q (and screwfix) have a De-Walt 18v cordless drill driver, 13mm chuck for around £100. (previously £200 at B&Q) Its the DC725 at B&Q, but the DC100KA at screwfix. The batteries are a bit weedy at 1.3Ah, but for a non pro not needing days and days of charge they look good value to me.

    Thanks jake

I asked recently on here for some advice on door locks for my new french doors. Jake posted that he had a set going cheap. Anyway I received them today, wrapped in 200m of bubblewrap, 100m cardboard, 4 lengths of cable sheathing and at least 1 roll of packing tape! Thanks Jake

Half was through ripping 100m of tulipwood for my french doors when the crappy tablesaw (rexon 10 inch 18 months old) caught fire! The fire didn't last long, but now the saw is obviously kaput. Anyone thinking of selling a table saw?

Hellow again, I've now ordered the Tulipwood for my painted french doors project (see earlier question). We now come onto the question of locking them.
