    01332 16amp cable length

Morning all. Can anyone with the iTech/SIP 01332 please advise the length of cable supplied with the saw. I've an electrician coming around tomorrow to quote on installing a 16amp supply, and need to determine where to place the outlets. Anyone installed a column in the middle of the work area...

    SIP 01332 or iTECH 01332

Can anyone shed any light on why there is such a price difference between these saws, given they are the same in all but name. S+S have the iTECH on for £1140 Inc VAT, and the SIP is averaging around £1650 Inc VAT. Seems a big difference!

    Axminster Table Saw AW10BSB2

Its been a while since I've posted on here due to a change in jobs. I've held onto this as long as possible, but it's now time to find it a new home - it's taking up too much space. It has the additional extensions and also the sliding table, which I only used for 1 project and then removed...

I'm having a clear out, and these are now surplus. All are in great condition with little use (I tend to buy books, skim through them, then store them). Postage is to UK mainland only and will be via tracked and signed for. I'm happy to combine postage where appropriate. Collection is also...

Replacing belt on Axminster AW10BSB2 Table Saw

The table saw has been stalling recently, and investigation has shown the drive belt to be shedding material and so reducing the tension. Tightening the belt improves is slightly for a while. Has anyone replaced the belt, and does it have to be an Axminster replacement part?

    Bargain Timber Panel

I picked this timber panel up yesterday, for the extortionate price of £6.00! A few hours with a table saw and sander should result in some very nice usable timber.

    Mango Timber

Does anyone have a source for Mango timber? I've had a request to construct a long wall mounted shelf for a customer who's living room is dominated by Mango furniture - bookcase, tv stand and a large display unit. Mango veneered MDF/PLY may be a possibility if solid timber cannot be sourced...

    Wheelbarrow Planter

An unusual request, and one that I spent far too much time on – but I enjoyed every minute of making it. A customer had a wheelbarrow planter that he wanted replacing, with few design considerations other than rough dimensions and to be “natural” in finish. The original planter: The...

    Planing Timber - Assistance Required

I've just purchased 7x2.4m lengths of Western Red Cedar (1"x6") for a customer project. Its my first venture into sawn, air dried timber, as I usually work in board materials. I've not sorted a planer/thicknesser yet though - its my next purchase, having just shelled out on an Axy table saw...

    Axminster AW10BSB2 - Levelling

I'm in the process of unboxing and assembling my latest purchase, and once on its feet I've noticed a slight wobble due to the concrete flooring not being level. Has anyone fitted levelling feet to this particular saw, or devised another method of levelling - I'm not bothered about mobility, as...

    Hafele Door Seal

Bit of a long shot, but I've a customer who's 2 sets of timber french doors that are draughty. They have asked if a seal can be fitted to the inside of the doors, secured to the face of the door. I've found a likely candidate from Hafele, its on Page 8 of the attached document - Ref...

    Understairs Cupboard

I've been asked by a customer to quote on creating an understairs cupboard for storage. This is going to involve creating an opening in a plasterboard wall, but the customer wants the door to be flush with no handle or architrave, a push release latch, and painted to match the wall. I was...

Wood carving - sealing timber before painting

I've a relative who is into carving birds, which he then paints. The carved feathers are obviously very fine, and he has problems with the paints being absorbed (bleeding) into the timber. He's looking for a product to seal the timber, but which will not fill/obscure the detailing. Any ideas??

    Makita 3612c - Any Interest ?

A guy on another forum is trying to sell a new Makita 3612c router, and is asking for offers. If you're in the market for one, live nearby, and make a cheeky offer - who knows.... http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthr ... ost3495176

    Window Boards

I'm in the process of re-decorating the living room, and have taken the window boards back to bare timber (pine). The idea was to stain them the same colour as the new flooring, but I've doubts over the finish as the condition of them isn't great. I've already prepared and painted the walls...
