    Drill press (ATDP17F) tripping

Thanks, I'm now reading up on work shed condensation..

    Drill press (ATDP17F) tripping

It has now worked twice (ran under tension) since emptying a cm or 2 dirty looking water from the bottom of the capacitor cover.. Could that water have gathered there due to the capacitor/motor as opposed to there being some very strange shed leak somewhere which managed to only end up in that...

    Drill press (ATDP17F) tripping

I've found that a small amount of water was in the bottom of the protective cap which houses a capacitor, on the back of the motor. I'm guessing that means it's likely damp inside the motor too? No idea how it got there. No signs of a shed leak. It's RCD which is tripping by the way. A BG...

    Drill press (ATDP17F) tripping

Thanks I'm reading up on that and if there's anything simple I can do without knowing much about it. Same shed has other machinery which has never had issues. I'm hoping if I can work out how to open it up a bit I might spot something.

    Drill press (ATDP17F) tripping

Hi, long time member, not been around in ages! I've got an Axminster drill press. ATDP17F. I've barely ever used it and now that I've actually had need for it a few times in a row its suddenly decided to trip the workshed consumer unit every time after running for a few seconds. Has anyone...

1/4 cup dust in 4 years. Extract outside to save space?

Yeah that's one way to save space. Given how little dust I get though I think I'll try just venting out and see how that goes.

    Blower adaptor?

Thanks. I might make it with ply. I've done similar for cyclones but would've preferred plastic ready made for this ideally. The axminster link looks possible. Have also emailed them incase they have spares as one or two of their extractors have similar adaptors to what Im after. Cheers!

    Blower adaptor?

Does anyone know where I'd get a rectangular to round duct adaptor? So I could connect round tube/hose to the rectangular bits connected to the fan part of this? It needs to have the flat edges so it can be bolted. I want to make some changes to my extractor. I suppose I could make something...

1/4 cup dust in 4 years. Extract outside to save space?

I guess that's a vote for just venting to the outside in my situation then, given I'm pretty sure I don't care about the temp. It's already freezing in there. I'm used to it.

1/4 cup dust in 4 years. Extract outside to save space?

Thanks, I've read around a bit and seen some doing that. It's a good idea. I'll have another look at my options but the shed is in a corner with another tool shed and decking near by so I might not be able to fit that in. If I did just vent it out, it would be to an unseen back corner of a...

1/4 cup dust in 4 years. Extract outside to save space?

My very occasional woodworking shed has an FM300BC HVLP extractor in it with the big filter cartridge and bag. I use it for P/T, TS, BS etc. Shop vac for powertools. In about 4 years it's got not quarter of a cup in it. Can I just rely on the my cyclone/barrel setup getting most of the dust...

Joining plywood to make a bed

We have 3 bed bases in our house which are basically 18mm ply and love it, so each to their own. We're all diffferent shapes and sizes. Either with large holes in it or wide slats. Works really well with the mattresses we own if you like a firm bed. I find sagging middles a problem :-)

Joining plywood to make a bed

I actually can't sleep on anything BUT a ply base, but thats probably because I'm old and aching :-) I put ply with holes as I need it firm.

Thanks Joshjosh, exactly the sort of place I was looking for, no nonsense, reasonable price. Going with Fall timber.

    Birch BB cost comparison

Sammy I found a thread where you suggested builder depot but that you hadn't used them. Someone replied saying it was not baltic birch, but the thing is, the link you gave was indeed not for birch, but they do list birch on a different page. Maybe that was the discussion you were thinking of...

    Birch BB cost comparison

Thanks Sammy I'll see what a search throws up. Already looked but might have missed something. I've seen it from various companies, one is Sveza which I think is Russian. buildersdepot is "Pacific Star" whereever thats made.

    Birch BB cost comparison

Thanks, sounds like I'm being charged new person non trade prices for 65+vat then as I'm just a hobbyist.

    Birch BB cost comparison

They're both claiming to be BB/BB which would be good enough for me. I do wonder though at that cheap price.

    Birch BB cost comparison

Sorry I forgot to say. Five sheets. Someone locally wants 65+vat. builderdepot claim 45 inc vat.

    Birch BB cost comparison

Has anyone had 18mm Birch Throughout Ply BB/BB 8' x 4' sheets from builderdepot.co.uk? Because £272 inc vat and delivery is nearly £200 cheaper than a quote I've had from a local place! Thanks
