Post a photo of the last thing you made

Thanks. Would be interesting to know where the similar one was. Mine is made out of pallet wood too. There is a guy local to me who had a few pieces of hardwood taken from pallets that looked fairly new, so i bought and used these. The lights cost me £17, but also had to buy a 90mm hole cutter...

I was actually waiting for someone to say that the light will affect the red wine, and was going to reply that it wont last long enough to go bad. * Actually, if you look closely, all those bottles are empty :sneaky::unsure:

Just made myself a wine rack lamp. Seen the design of the wine rack on Youtube, so just guessed the dimensions and thought it may look good with lights shining through the bottles, so bought some online. Its about 95% finished, just a bit to do to hide the wiring, put some foam inside (so the...

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

Got my new blade today and its transformed the saw. The strange thing is the blade is nowhere near as tight as i thought it should be. In fact its quite slack at its tightest. Still, its cutting really well, which is the main thing.

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

So i am probably not 'bandsawing' correctly, but when i 'cut' it appears to want to cut to the left, even when i use the straight edged fence (on the left). I am quite confident that i have set it up correctly, with the lower sections of the teeth in the centre of the wheel, the bearings a...

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

Just checked them. It looks like mine is 1575 long. There are a few to choose from, so will see how i am likely to use it first, or buy a few.

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

I did get the original manual with it too, but there is no parts break down. I will try the Scheppach to see if they are the same (i am sure they will be, it appears to be a basic design that a lot are based on). Having said that, my repair is sound and should last (he says with crossed...

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

Yes i have seen his video on the 3(?) he put side by side. I might rewatch them now i have my own though. That is a good buy, i love stories like that. But did they not notice that when they were going 30mph the speedo said 50(ish)? A few weeks ago work mate bought a £1000 coffee machine...

Just bought my first band saw (bargain)

Was wanting a band saw for a while, but didn't want a large one due to lack of space, and didn't want an expensive one due to lack of funds. Checking Marketplace (as you do), i came across this one... The description said "Spares or repair, works but switch is dodgy and screw loose on wheel"...

    Thicknesser question

I have the Titan Planer/Thicknesser which i bought used for about £130. Very compact and sits under my bench until i want to use it, then i just lift it out and put it on my bench. Its quite heavy, but any able bodied adult should be able to lift it ok. My work space is literally my small bench...

    Wanted Planer/Thicknesser, 6-8"

What area? I bought some clamps from a guy in Whitby on Friday and he tried to sell me his Clarke planer/thicknesser, but i already have one so refused it. He didn't say a price, but i still have his details and could ask for you. EDIT, just noticed your location is Swansea, so may be too far...

Sold Triton Bobbin and Belt Sander - New and Unused

Interested in this. Need to look at finances and space first though. I am Middlesbrough so collection no issue.

Hi, just joined today from Middlesbrough.

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I have always been quite handy making things and enjoy messing around with wood. In fact my wife says i am like 'Rhubarb and Custard' (for those old enough to remember), where i go in the shed, bang around for a few hours and come out with something i...
