    Late in life career shift

I'm in exactly your boat Pete, with the same doubts/fears of turning an enjoyable, escapist hobby into work. I also doubt that my woodwork skills would be good enough for clients, let alone compete with existing tradies. So, I've pretty much resigned (pun intended) myself to keeping it as a...

    Men Sheds!

I had a tour of my local shed, Wokingham, and this is certainly true. Your badge is colour coded to show what you have had training to use. I can't talk to the quality of the training (Youtube 'expert' or Ye Olde Badde Practice) /grin

Router table with lift and motor v Router in table with lift

Thanks Ollie! Presumably I could 'accesorise' the all in one jobbie by building a 'table' around it (along with dust collection, etc!) if I find the table size limiting. Still feels like I'm missing something obviously wrong with an 'all in one', otherwise everyone would use one! :)

    Wokingham woodworker here

Hi All, Long-term reader, new contributor! A mild-mannered IT middle-manager midweek, but a garage-workshop, woodworker weekender. Am heavily influenced & inspired by the maker Youtube community. Past projects include a death-star themed display for Lego and a shed-cum-greenhouse.

    Decent Affordable jobsite Table saw

I'm just looking to upgrade my entry level Einhell, my main complaint is the fence. I'd pretty much settled on the Evolution Rage S over the DeWalt based on price ... until I read the complaint above about the fence and now the DeWalt's pinion fence system is looking the better option! Like the...

    OSB Outdoors

You could staple weed protector sheets to the inside of the OSB/decking board. It has certainly extended the life of various ad-hoc planters/borders in my garden. CT.
