New driver and impact - Bosch, Milwaukee, Fein or Panasonic?

My Panasonic batteries (NiMH) are dying and I've not had them as long as my Festool ones which are still going strong.

Damn, 2 wrong, but one of them was about being disqualified :)

    paypal gift

I use Moneycorp to transfer cash from the UK to NZ - they cover most places. No fees and you choose the rate (obviously within reason). They make they're money in the difference between the rate they buy at and the rate they give you. This usually works out at around 1%, but as the rate you get...

    boxing in the extractor?

I built a cupboard outside the shed for my extractor/chip collector, with plenty of holes for ventilation. It got warmer than before, but nothing to worry about. One advantage was a reduction of noise in the shed.

    UK Workshop problems.

Virtually all my internet browsing is by iPad and I've never had a stability issue. Definitely not a generic iPad problem.

    tattoo prejudice

Air New Zaeland have a policy of "no visible tattoos", which is a bit of a problem for the traditional Maori tattoo on the lower lip (where a goatee beard would be). I like tattoos (except when really overdone or on the head/face/neck), and think I want one for myself but not sure of what to...

Neighbours built over our property - need legal agreement

In which case I'd be worried about the depth of the footings and their ability to hold the new wall. Out neighbour in the UK had a single storey extension built and the foundations had to be 6' deep. I think they have to be strong enough to take two storeys (in case they want to expand upwards...

Taking your life in your hands

Jury might be out, but I'd rather head but a road or a kerb stone wearing one than not wearing one. If they're so useless why are they mandatory in some countries? He might be a neurosurgeon, but I don't think he knows much about cycle helmets...

more ipad info sought re safari

I've never paid for a YouTube video. What are you looking at DW? I'm not that keen on safari, but it's ok. Certainly not bad enough to make me want to try another browser, but you can check if your favourite is in the App Store. I'm more concerned that you like ie though!

    Breakfast!

Usually cereal during the week and toast at the weekend, but I'm starting back on the smoothies. That's a mix of fruit blended to a pulp with water - today was banana, apple, pear, kiwi and a slice of melon. Yummy and healthy :)
