Hi all Does anyone know of a supplier who supplies the stop ends ? Bessey only seem to sell them as a pack with other things I don’t need I’ve looked on Etsy as this seems an obvious gap for someone with a 3d printer to fill but have found nothing Thanks P

    Freebird interiors - Alastair Johnson

I’ve followed Alastair for years on YouTube and for a long while was also part of his paid subscribers on “buymeacoffee”. This was a couple of years ago but back then the info he provided was excellent. The key benefit was time, the detail he goes to means you get plans and info which remove...

Ply wood for finishing garden room (birch alternative)

Another option based on a friend who used osb3 and really didn’t like how it looks even painted, is to use osb, but then overboard with plasterboard or dry lining board. Then you end up with something wrong enough to screw anything to and a really nice look Or, just skip the osb3 completely and...

    Deck replacement

At the prices you’re looking at it may be worth considering a patio ? We did 40m2 for about 6 grand , never rots and doesn’t need treatment

What do you charge - bathroom locks/doors

I’m no professional but did 7 in a day for my father. Did I rush ? At 730 pm instead of cutting 12mm off the last door long edge I got the circular saw in the wrong side of the saw guide and instead cut the door in half. He then had to rush to drive to b&q before it closed at 8pm, and got a...

    Using Facebook Marketplace

when you post a listing it will give you the option of posting to those groups (or not). I'd recommend you do from my experience as the local groups seem to get more views / buys than just to "general" marketplace. I'm no expert BTW but this approach has worked for me

    MDF Cabinet Doors

I've built MDF doors almost exactly the same dimensions, I did: 18mm for full door size, then laid on 12mm MDF to "fake" the shaker look 12mm for full door size, then laid on 12mm MDF to "fake" the skaher look 18mm option meant a REALLY thick frame which meant special hinges / faff. The 12mm +...

    Startrite 301 upper guide advice

All, Thank-you for the advice that is obviously borne out of a lot of experience and expertise, as a result the bandsaw is now up and running and was in use today, I think i screwed the blade so have just sent an email to tuffsaws for a replacement paul

    Startrite 301 upper guide advice

Eddy, that is very well spotted, and what i've realised as a result is the previous owner must have lost the washer and the small metal bar you can see loose on the photo must have been used as the clamp (though that then skewed the guides - unless there was a partner piece i can't find). And...
