Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

My old hilti te 750 was a beast, had it for about 25 years or more , purchased it and it was battered from day 1 . Had it for a 1 off job but didn’t think it would last the job of breaking up a 5-6 “ concrete path and smashing an old garage base into half but it just kept on going. Great tool...

Rotary tool... Dremel or something else?

Yeh that’s better in terms of clarity / as @Stigmorgan says just keep it simple and drill a round hole , I actually thought you was talking about aa aaa and c/ d cell batteries 🫣🤔🤫

Rotary tool... Dremel or something else?

I’m a bit slow this morning so struggling to visualise what you’re trying to achieve. So oval holes 55mm deep - how many? . The best I can come up with is wait for your hole saws to arrive-what type are they?? I’d personally be using a good quality Forstner bit , make a single cut about 10-15mm...

    Kitchen work top cutting

Use a decent masking tape as an additional layer of protection. As mentioned previously you can score the cut line with a straight edge and a very sharp Stanley knife or similar. As you will be cutting your work to melamine face down you need to be very accurate with lining up the saw . The last...

    Kitchen work top cutting

Sorry to be a doubter but if your primary goal is not to chip the laminate then good luck using a handsaw . Traditional handsaw’s will cut on the push and the pull stroke so this method will be prone to chipping especially with existing worktops . Also wood glue will potentially cause the joint...

    Something new

The thing about a website is it should earn you money rather than cost you . Saying that I don’t know much about setting one up but I think of them as a bit like you sitting at an Event for 10 or 12 hours a day but unless your there you won’t sell anything. A website is pretty much un-manned and...

    Something new

I maybe wrong but a lot of todays people wrongly assume if you have made it yourself it probably hasn’t cost you much , hasn’t taken you long and for those reasons shouldn’t cost a lot . This is evident at car boots where the assumption is that you are just getting rid of your unwanted items so...

    Damp proofing

I’ve been involved with my friends house for a little over 2 years now . Its been gutted and stripped back to brick , the ground floor was rendered internally approximately 1mtr up and along all of the external Walls, the tell tale signs of the 8 or 10 mm holes on the exterior walls outside give...

    Glue(?) for Thin Patio Slabs

Your 1st problem will be how level is the concrete slab the second is if these are 20mm stone or porcelain slabs then they req a 30 mm bed of mortar to lay them with a slight fall away from the building. I m not saying the adhesives mentioned won’t work short term but tbh I can’t see that...

Welcome 🤗 as above it’s always saddening to hear of a fellow woodworker having to sell up whatever the reason but in the interim it is worth hanging around and contributing. I find the advice and choice of solutions 2nd to none ..

    Hi. Theatre set builder here

    Kitchen work top cutting

I get you now ,, depends if your current worktops have a post formed edge or they are the more modern square edge type . The latter or a bit easier as you can simply create a butt joint . You will still need a router and a jig or template to form the bolt apertures on the underside of the...

    Kitchen work top cutting

What are you using to make the cut — router and jig is probably the best option but if it’s the sink aperture your referring to then I prefer a decent jigsaw with a blade that cuts on the down stroke. Before I do anything I apply a good quality masking tape and mark the cutting line onto the...
