This site may be of interest. I have used the wedi extruded foam board which was a joy to work with being both very strong, light weight and ready to take tiling without priming. Not the cheapest to be fair but I would have no hesitation in using again when I refurb our bathroom.

Would it not be easier to pull the existing plasterboard off and start again with the backerboard in it's place (assuming you are planning to tile floor to ceiling)? Might help with the tight measurements involved as well.

I'd be happy to take the angle grinder and the 2 x Stanley sawhorses but would not be able to pick them up until Tuesday 2nd April during the day.

Primarily caused by people opening the valve fully and then not backing off the wheel half a turn to take the load off the spindle threads. The same applies to stopcocks as well.

Just an observation on the low pitch but if either of the two side elevations face the prevailing winds could there may be an issue during heavy rainfall and strong winds preventing run off and maybe even blowing it back up under the ridge capping?

I would be interested to know in what respect you think Acronis True Image has lost its way. I have been using it for quite a few years and have had no problems. I also use the paid version of SyncBakPro to synchronise all the user data files to the latest versions.

I'm not surprised that the partner didn't know what it was. The last time I saw one being used was over twenty years ago so a bit before his time.

I certainly would not be using plasterboard in a shower area. Shower tray with upstand let into wall and tiles run over upstand to top of tray would be my preferred option.
