Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

''I've always preferred good quality tools but I'm not a tool snob. I know that if I use them correctly, my saw bench etc will help me turn out work equally as good as using the most expensive machines.'' Yes.

Some of these remind me of the days of Frank Muir and Denis Norden ('think I might be showing my age here).

    Parkside flat bits

I was dubious about using 'tri tipped' auger bits with an impact driver when I first tried them a few years ago but it is now my default method - try it. Don't forget, impact drivers are not spinning that quickly and contact with the cutting edge is intermittent. Every day is a school day.

A little truth for a change.

It would seem that a lot of leavers are also smarting at the reality now that they know they were conned - just saying.

    Dewalt 1/4 router for Worktop

If its just straight cuts then you could use a circular saw with a suitable sharp blade being sure to always cut with the underside up. Try it on a scrap end to see if you're happy with the finish. Decent sticky tape on the cut line can help too.

What angle should screws be with a 45d gallow shelf brackets?

Yep, that is how I was taught to do it, certainly if there is considerable weight involved such as a porch canopy. More skill needed than just a chop saw ,glue and screws/nails.

    Considering a new table saw

I think you will be happy with this saw, I've had one for a couple of years. It needed a bit of 'fettling' to get it as accurate as I wanted but a joy to use, especially with the rolling stand. Previously I had an elu TGS172 from new but that had lost accuracy from constant use and was becoming...

Is Gorilla woodglue strong enough for this project?

I've always tended to nip the ends off panel pins to achieve the blunt end with the side cutter on a pair of pliers as its too easy to bend anything smaller than 11/2 ovals using the hammer method. Anything bigger then yes, the hammer. Have to admit though that a pin gun is my common go to these...

For Sale Ftagh early glass panes.

Second that on the greenhouse glass. I used 3mm g/h glass on a narrow door I'd made for an architect for his own 150 year old house 30+ years ago. He was most impressed that I'd found suitable antique glass....
