Retirement workshop - which machines to buy?

Hi adhb, its great to see you enjoying your woodworking and expanding the operations. Dust Extraction: If it were me, I would buy the best most powerful dust extraction you can get. I only have a single garage sized workshop and use a Henry with a long hose but it does me for now, i just move...

Insulating A Single Skin Brick Garage Workshop

This situation is very similar to mine. I'm going to insulate the roof and the wood garage door properly but as for the walls... with it being not much distance between the internal brick walls, i cant afford to lose any from it as it just eats into the available space and its not wide enough as...

    Hand Tool Wall Cabinet

Ive been told by three separate people experienced in woodworking that it is. Maybe the photos aren’t clear and you can tell better in person. The wood was from recycled oak doors in my house.

It was made from salvaged old Mahogany skirting that was going in the skip on a job. I dovetailed the sides but didn't dovetail the drawers. It's for storing seeds...

    Workshop Roof Internal Insulation

Hi all, i was after knowing what you all think about my shop roof plans. It’s a standard garage sized workshop with traditional apex joisted roof. It has a new roof, tiles, soffits, gutters etc done in last couple of years. As you can see, there’s just a membrane between the tile and the shop. I...

Shellac as a finish in UK

Yes sure, that’s the case I think too but it’s also the name of a product and the “Type of Shellac” is the original question. Who calls it what and is it the same, just different names? What do you use Ed? (Product that is). All I’m personally after is a ready mixed “Shellac” that’s identical...
