I have been using the SIP 01332 for quite a few years and have been very pleased with it . Sliding carriage works well , with the extension table and sliding carriage it takes a bit of space . I will probably put it on the market later in the new year and posting some pictures of it . Also...

JET JPT 310 (used) Vs Scheppach HMS2600Ci Planer Thicknesser

Many thanks for the response. It seems that the Jet is generally a better machine from what I can see and I agree that the price advantage over a new Jet may not be make up for the lack of warranty and I am also a little suspicious of 6 returns. I sent a query to Axminster and got a response...

JET JPT 310 (used) Vs Scheppach HMS2600Ci Planer Thicknesser

They are so called customer returns to Axminster and come without guarantee . Obviously a lot cheaper than full price items I was just wondering how good a value they were . There seems to be a few available.

JET JPT 310 (used) Vs Scheppach HMS2600Ci Planer Thicknesser

JET JPT 310 (used) Vs Scheppach HMS2600Ci Planer Thicknesser

I have been looking at the possibility of buying a New Scheppach HMS 2600 CI for £700. or going for the Jet (used) from Axminster for approximately the same amount or a litlle less . Given the issue of the fence last year and people's experience with both machine, which scenario seems the best...
