Does being right or lft-handed determine which way round a room you go when painting ?

This is something I've always wondered.

    Business to business dealings

Am I right in saying that your 'real' question is am I better of trying to get compensation (rightly so) from the seller if I am doing it as a private person having bought the vehicle or as a 'business' having bought the vehicle?

    Maths equation assistance

The Physics forum is excellent for these sort of questions. https://www.physicsforums.com/ Warning: If you have any interest in physics whatsoever do not go to this site as you will not have any more spare time left since your entire day will be spent reading all the fascinating topics.;)

Stopping epoxy leaks with glazing putty?

The trouble with cheap brown tape that I find is that when you peel it off, it leaves residue behind. And/or rips into pieces and you then spend ages peeling it off bit by bit.

Kitchen worktop - am I doing it right?

In the past I have also wrapped a piece of masking tape round the guide bush 1 or 2 times when hogging out the cut. Then when you've done the complete pass, remove the tape and then go round again which gives you a smoother final surface. Caveat...I have only done this on soft and hard...

Collection of 3d printing files relevant for woodworking

Can a 3D printer make an enclosed space? Say, like a ping-pong ball? Or a cube? What has prompted this question was watching the excellent BBC episode of Forensics where the guy had made many of the parts for a semi-automatic rifle. (No, I have no plans to emulate him!)

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Ditto. When we bought our place the EPC value was 40 which is on the border between E and F. It is now on the border between D and C at 68

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Possibly but not sure where the new sites might be in the UK. And, of course, fusion.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

I agree that we will get some solar power - even through cloud - but looking at the graphs, it is very, very low in winter. And battery storage is all well and good. But where does the electricity come from in the first place?

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Of course, it will run out at some point in time. But I say again...where is the power going to come from at night and without any wind ?

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

And I'm afraid more bad news from the USA... During the final few months of 2023, the market saw sales slowing, unsold electric vehicles piling up on dealer lots, Tesla struggling to get a handful of its much hyped CyberTrucks onto the market after five long years of promises, pure-play EV...

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Precisely my point and I was responding to the spin being placed on wind and solar by the OP. This is a more realistic picture and shows how dependent we are on gas to fill the shortfall when the wind doesn't blow.
  17. woodieallen

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Trouble with wind is that it doesn't always blow. And as for solar? Well, I could count the days we've seen any sun this year on the fingers of one hand. And the sun doesn't shine at night. We typically need 30GW at night. So you could cover the cuntry with solar. The North Sea with wind...

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

If EVs are so fantastic then why is Hertz getting rid of 20,000 of them and replacing with petrol ICE ?
  19. woodieallen

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Your first point ignores one little problem. The total demand is only 30GW. Probably middle of the night. Frequently demand is close to the maximum available. So where do you think that extra 10GW is going to come from? At the drop of a switch ? Immediately. Gas.
