Hi John. The blade have a bump from rust but either way the wedge is still not good. The gap between blade and wedge is to big. Wrong angle. Most probably from other plane. Also the nicker is missing. Cheers Florin

Yes, is a nice plane. Tha white stuff that I tought was glue (hence my poor conclusion) is only hardened wax. Who kows for how long the plane sat untouched. I like it a lot better than the metal ones. Thanks for helping out.

As is longer than 5 inch , I`m thinking that is a reproduction. But I seen than someone sold one on ebay with the same characteristics, apart from gunmetal adjusters .

Hello friends I have this plane that will not fit the Preston range of 1368. Is a bit longer that 5 inch. The width is 5/8th but is longer and the adjusters are made of gunmetal. Anyone have any idea about it, please? Many thanks

Thanks for the valuable information. The plane on ebay have the same bridge. So I suppose some toolmaker build the planes for Mr Tissington with that specific detail.
