    Hi John. The blade have a bump from rust but either way the wedge is still not good. The gap between blade and wedge is to big. Wrong angle. Most probably from other plane. Also the nicker is missing. Cheers Florin

    Yes, is a nice plane. Tha white stuff that I tought was glue (hence my poor conclusion) is only hardened wax. Who kows for how long the plane sat untouched. I like it a lot better than the metal ones. Thanks for helping out.

    It would`d be a major problem but is a Norris iron and I thought this cannot be right if it happens. I will sharpen it again. I use diamond stones so I should finish to take of that crack in few days :D

    Thanks for the valuable information. The plane on ebay have the same bridge. So I suppose some toolmaker build the planes for Mr Tissington with that specific detail.

    Hello to everyone I have this no 3 plane that in all aspects is a stanley plane only that the sole is made of brass.The blade is newer but apart from that I don't see any mismatch. I suppose is a fan made plane, but let me know your opinion, please. Thank you
