    Triton TPT125 Planer sparking

I had this exact issue, right down to the brushes and broken screw cap. Had to send it back in the end for a refund, as there were no more available at the time. Never did find out what the actual problem was.

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

That's really useful to know, thank you. Even with those few reservations, it does still seem to be a better compromise than the newer Axminster saws - on paper, at least.

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

Ah yes, that's what I meant - thank you. I've never had a saw that's been set up well enough to bother using the measures on the fence rail, so no major hardship. I've got a router table on the right in my current set up, which works really well. Anyway, apols for diverting the thread.

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

That looks great - very much the sort of set up I’d be looking to build. Nice work!

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

Ok, thanks. Yes, I see you need the fence rail on the front and back, but on some pictures it looks like the rail is in two sections. I’ve since seen that some owners of the Ridgid-branded version have been able to reposition the fence rail to the right, so that may be one option. The saw...

    New table saw? Lumberjack TS1800

Super helpful, thanks. I'm thinking of doing the same thing as gazuzu. Do you think both fence rails need to be installed, or could the width be reduced by installing just one, and making do with, say, only one of the side extension tables? On my old ts200 I just have the extension table to...

    Triton series2000

I recently sold one of these with most of the kit including the Triton saw for 250. It was ok, quite fiddly to set up and the Triton saw was good but very loud!

Elliott Progress 16 pillar drill - any owners or any info?

Evening, I'm fairly new to this forum and rather than gatecrash someone else's thread on this drill I thought I'd start a new one. Basically I'm just looking for any info or any thoughts on this pillar drill. I picked mine up recently, covered in rust and at least two or three repaints, but...

    Elliott Progress 16 Restoration

Ah that’s very helpful, thanks for the advice. The noise part is a particular factor for me, so I’ll be sure to replace the belt as you suggest. I just got rid of an old Walker Turner floorstander, very beaten up, accurate enough, but very rattley!

    Elliott Progress 16 Restoration

Hi Aengus, I just picked up an Elliott machine just like yours, and in similar condition. How did you get on with the refresh? Have you made much use of the drill?
