Oh I get that completely and they're the ones I feel for the most. I've sold to Independent retailers for 25 years and they're my passion.....

    Customs declarations and brexit

Late to the party here.... I work for a major UK/EU food brand and am possibly about to lose a large Irish client because of the duties & documentation now required for us to ship products. The client has agreed to cover the duties for a short time but after that is expecting my Co to pay them...

Varnished kitchen worktop in lousy condition - which sander please?

Ok so I bought the Erbauer ERO450 and some Abranet discs after the very helpful suggestions - thanks again to all. I practiced using the sander on a patio table I've made and was very happy with the ease of use, the efficiency of the discs and the vacuum adaptor that was included! I've just...

Varnished kitchen worktop in lousy condition - which sander please?

Ordinarily I have a 'DIY budget' but I'd happily move upwards as a) I'm not looking forward to doing the kitchen so want to make it as easy as I can, and b) I'm slowly getting into woodworking so it'd almost certainly be used again. How about £150 - would that get me something half decent?

Varnished kitchen worktop in lousy condition - which sander please?

I'm finally getting round to decorating the kitchen and the worst part is the worktops. They're wood & were originally varnished (Wickes fitted kitchen) but the previous owners weren't exactly careful so it's both worn and stained. I don't really want to go to the expense of new tops so the plan...

Vice advice for a beginner please!

I'm now the very happy owner of my first workbench and want to fit a vice for woodworking. The choice is huge and as a complete novice I don't really know what to look for. My initial questions if somebody could help please, are: Would something like THIS be ok for a novice? Is 7" sufficient...

Roofing battens - do they need to be dry?

**THANKS TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE REPLIED!** I'm boarding the walls of my garage and had some roofing battens delivered by a local supplier. They're stored outside but I was assured that as they're treated, this isn't a problem. They've been under cover for a few days now and a decent amount of...
