    Loose tenons for workbench

I think it was workshop heaven?? Around £80-£90 for the kit with 2 clamps and a few little knobs etc for jigs as well as the router bit you need to rout the grooves. When I get home I’ll take some pics of the jigs I made with it.

    Loose tenons for workbench

It’s a fantastic system. I bought one kit that had the router but you need included with the clamps and I use it all over now. Made a great sled with it and a loose tenon jig that’s accurate and easy to set up. well worth the money

    Loose tenons for workbench

I built mine using 90mmx90mm Posts for the base with a through tenon and wedge. It’s a really solid bench and can take it down if needed. I built the top from 25mm mdf topped with 18mm birch so I could utilise my mat fit dovetail gear. It’s flat as hell as I used a torsion assembly. I love it.

Thanks for the advice. I did make a fence yesterday and it’s “ok” for now. I’m in the very initial stages of my first proper workshop and this will now get me to the point where I have the ability to cut stuff up. I’m going today for a piece of MDf and will make a sled. I’m absolutely certain...

    Squaring advice...

Thanks Tom, I don't really work with metal so would have made the fence you talk of out of wood, meaning it might not of been as sturdy. To be fair it would just get in the way, especially if I was trying to clamp onto the table when using it as an assembly. I do plan to make a sled, and a...

    Squaring advice...

Yeah, Ive no idea why I wrote that the opposite to what I meant. Toe in as it is very slightly now, but very soon to be corrected is obviously a very bad idea and safety is very important to me as I have two dependents. Thanks for pointing that out though.

Thanks, I really like the look of the fence you reference to, bu that would require me adding the rail for the fence to slide along to the front of my table which gives me 2 problems. Firstly is getting it very straight on a budget, the front of the table is straight as I spent a lot of time...

    Squaring advice...

...I have made myself a table saw workbench. It’s ( Bosch gets 10j) sat in the bench at around 98% (ish) square to the surface. I now need to align it as square as is possible for the fence build. I have a 12” starret square which I trust but is way too short for this situation. I have a 600mm...

    Table Saw Advice.

You sound just like me, I'm truly in heaven right now. Ive been working in a 6x8 shed for 10 months and after a few revamps I got it to the point there I was happy there. Then circumstances changed and I had the opportunity to build a 12x10 workshop and I wake each night thinking about the next...

    Table Saw Advice.

I managed to buy a second hand Bosch jts, I have built a large 6ft x 4ft table for this and when its delivered I will install it to the table and make a new fence and sled ( possibly large sliding table ) . I have considered the cabinet saw but at 100kg on average I don't want that kind of...
