Wanted Brush Cutter (Regarding my previous topic: 'Strimmer')

For anyone who’s got or thinking of getting a petrol garden tool, try using Aspen fuel. It looks expensive but will easily save money on equipment servicing. Cannot recommend it highly enough

    Drill Sharpening

I’ve looked at the drill doctor several times, but always think I could buy a lot of new drills for that sort of money. Mind you my blunt drill box is getting bigger and bigger:)

    Drill Sharpening

I’m one of those unfortunates who can’t sharpen a HSS drill to save their life. Has anyone any recommendations for a drill sharpening gadget that a. works, and b. is foolproof. I’ve probably bought most of them, but I thought it worth a try to see if somebody has something I haven’t seen.

    Ancient Stihl chainsaw

IMHO it’s well worth using Stihl’s own ready mix fuel if you are an occasional user. Leave it in as long as you want. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I’ve never had a problem with cutting dry well seasoned timber. The main thing with chains is to keep the oil tank replenished, check tension/tightness frequently and whatever you do keep it away from dirt. The best skill you need to learn is how to sharpen a chain, you may have to do it more...

    Cordless Batteries

I’ve got some batteries, but lowish power. I need a 5.0 one for the angle grinder. For the sake of £27 I’ll try a Vanon from Amazon. I’ve never seen a company who will recall lithium’s, and then you’d need to be sure the electronics were ok.

    Cordless Batteries

I take your points, but I keep thinking I can get two Vanon batteries and change for the cost of one Ryobi. If they last 60% of the time of Ryobi I get 20% extra for less money. Or do I?

    Cordless Batteries

Has anyone recommendations for third party batteries for cordless tools? I’m specifically after batteries for Ryobi One+, but interested in battery companies. It seems possible to make great savings but as usual reviews are all over the place

    screwfix discount

I don’t know all the personal history between the two, but I’ve always found Toolstation cheaper than SF and they’re usually next door. Don’t carry quite the same range unfortunately
