Bosch GOF Professional 1250 LCE router

Thanks. Yes, have finally released the screws using one screwdriver to unscrew, whilst jamming another into the base of the turret to stop it turning. They were incredibly tight!!!

Bosch GOF Professional 1250 LCE router

Sorry, but that doesn’t actually help me. Are the depth screws meant to be adjustable? And if so, are you suggesting that I should try harder to adjust them?

Bosch GOF Professional 1250 LCE router

I have a brand new GOF 1250 LCE router, sent to me last week by Bosch in exchange for a previously faulty model. I tried using it today. However, the depth turret screws seem to be stuck and I cannot adjust their height as I think ought to be possible. I’ve tried WD40 to jo avail. Has anyone...

    Dowelling Jig - advice please

I am thinking of buying a dowelling jig for a project ( boot storage box) that will involve 90 degree corner joints and internal shelves. I have a biscuit jointer but was wondering whether a dowelling joint will make stronger joints? The main issue here is that the person who wants the box...

    Table Saws -again!

To Siggy -7:where is your post about the Record please? I can’t easily locate anything on this site, but that’s probably me!

    Table Saws -again!

Ditto. I’ve only seen reference to the AC254TS in the user manual online. Maybe they pulled it? A pity as for me, it might potentially be a better option than the AC216TS. The AT254TS is not an option for me as It is a 16amp model: I rent my workspace and the rental management company would not...

    Table Saws -again!

As per previous posts, I m looking to buy my first table saw. I have limited space in my workshop but want to buy something that be reliable and will give me a good start for at least a couple of years if I then decide to trade up and/or seek a larger workspace. I’ve been researching the...

    Charnwood W629: any views?

As explained on other entries, I am looking to buy a table saw or saw bench for my workshop. This would be my first table saw. I am constrained by the size of my workshop (4.3m x 3m, with other equipment already installed) and to some extent, by price. I really wouldn’t wish to pay more than...

"""""HEAD TO HEAD MITRE GAUGE REVIEW"""""

Really interesting and helpful thread. I am looking to buy my first table saw or saw bench. It will have to be on the small size due to my limited workshop space. I only came across the issue of different mitre slots earlier this week as I was doing my research. Agree with others that this is...

    AXMINSTER AC216TS table saw

Thanks again for your advice. Really helpful. More generally, I find it soooooo difficult to make decisions about machinery. After a year of training at a furniture school, this is my first workshop. I don’t have a huge amount of space and certainly not a limitless budget, but am trying to buy...

    AXMINSTER AC216TS table saw

Thanks for your reply. Just to confirm that you are using the AC 216TS? My understanding is that it comes with a 48T blade. So, if that works, maybe i need not be worrying so much.

    AXMINSTER AC216TS table saw

(Re-doing this post as I think my internet cut out last time before I could post it. I am thinking of buying an AC216TS, taking account of comments about this saw on this site. Axminster blades for this saw 216mm x 30mm bore) only go up to 56t. I need an 80T blade for a commission that will...

    Which Scroll Saw for Marquetry?

Thank you both for your posts. I think I will follow up by pursuing the Axminster Trade option.

    Which Scroll Saw for Marquetry?

Many thanks for your reply. Is the Excalibur still made? For some reason, I had thought it was no longer in production? So, I had been looking at the Axminster Trade models as possible alternatives. The longest pieces I would need to cut (at least for my current project) would be about 25-26”.

    Which Scroll Saw for Marquetry?

I want to incorporate a design in marquetry into a project I am making. Whilst a I can do much of the marquetry work by hand, I would also like to use a scroll saw for some elements, using the double bevel technique. Does anyone have experience of using a scroll saw for double bevel marquetry...
