    Thank you. Stripping down and methodically cleaning and testing identified issue with electrics. Now reassembled and tried. Running quieter than ever. Thanks for the help/advice. :D

    Have had my Axminster Devon AWVSL (second hand) for a year or so. Turned a few items successfully. Last few days used lathe as polisher and motor stopped while polishing piece. Now shows spindle speed as 0000 - no life in motor. What have I done and how o I fix it
