    Elektra Beckum BAS 315 Restoration

I am happy. I changed the tyres for blue urethane about 4 years ago, the bottom wheel had a few chips out of it so changed them both. It was still running sweetly but thought it best to change as no doubt it would have caused trouble down the line.

    Elektra Beckum BAS 315 Restoration

Whilst some people seem to be rubbishing the 251 I'll defend it, admittedly the guides are not the greatest and the fence is not brilliant it is a more than capable machine. Set up right and with a decent blade I reckon there is nothing to touch it for the price. Yes mine has had the bearing...

    Elektra Beckum BAS 315 Restoration

I had a reply from Paragon paints, not as helpful as I had hoped, they suggested I bought their RAL color chart and checked againt a machine.

    Elektra Beckum BAS 315 Restoration

I've used them for Startrite green, a little lighter than Elektra Beckum green. They are very good. They have colours for most of the old British machines so reckon they would be very knowledgeable so worth an ask.

Any one on here do engraving on brass?

As mentioned above Phill did me a lovely job on the index plate, I got exactly what I need with no fuss at all. I just fitted it and knocked up a gash pointer. I tried it at 0 degrees and 45 degrees and spot on. I'll add a few pics. I blacked in the lines. It is on an EB BAS 315.

Phil, sorry about the tardy reply, no polish thank you as is will be fine, I intend to darken the lines then scotchbrite it clean so it will be brushed.

I am looking at making a brass index plate for my bandsaw,it is a segment of a larger circle, I know the radius, the height of segment etc and where I need the adjustment slots as well as the degree marking I need. Anyone out there who could knock me one up, I certainly expect to pay.

    Yandles appreciation post 😁

Somebody seems to have ignored what I said and twisted it to their own ends. I suggested you should not have to wait for your toys and the next thing suggested is I should shop at Amazon.Any shop should not advertise something it does not have in stock, to my mind to do so is underhand to get...

    Yandles appreciation post 😁

Simply put that should have been in place by now and no excuse. Many shops not particularly woodworking shops do not physically have the goods they claim to stock but order once they get an order hence delays. I sell pike lures and when things are ordered they are out same day or the next day...

    Yandles appreciation post 😁

From my own point of view, nobody should order something from a site and then find out it is out of stock, they know how many they have and each one should be subtracted as it is sold, that is how my simple site works, it only goes wrong when we cannot count and that is rare. I would always cut...
