NOW SOLD 240v Fobco star pillar drill

Decided to have a workshop clear out to make space. This drill only gets used every now and then so think I'll let it go. I rebuilt it a few years ago including changing all the bearings, stripped it down completely and had the main body powder coated. Had the motor checked over, built the...

    Record RSDE2 extractor NOW SOLD

Decided to get rid of my Record 50 litre extractor as I don't use it much these days as I have Festool extractors. It is in pretty good nick and has an accessory kit with it which includes wheels, 2m X 100mm hose, 32mm hose and reducer. About a year ago the suppressor went on it but it's still...

Do you own a Mafell MT55cc plunge saw ?

Bought a mafell plunge saw recently and had to return it today and swapped it for a new one after some arguing with the dealer. Love the saw had it a few weeks but then yesterday I did my first bevel cut with it in some 22mm mdf. Straight away I could see the cut was at least 2mm away from the...

    Headless pinner

Has anyone here got the makita headless pinner ? I need a headless pinner and ideally want one I can easily pick up locally. D&m tools do the makita and Bostitch guns. I've got two Bostitch guns that are great but I've heard their 23ga pinner isn't as good and jams a lot. The makita is cheaper...

    Looking for house extension ideas

Hi all we've decided to extend our 2 bed semi and I'm in the middle of drawing up plans. Even though I've worked on plenty of extensions in my time I never get involved in the design. Ideally I want a large light and airy kitchen diner but we could do with fitting another bedroom in too. Here's...

Hi all looking for advice from any metal experts. Is 303 stainless steel round bar ok to use as a linear shaft with linear bearings. I wasn't sure if the surface is hard enough or will the ball bearing gradually groove into the steel ?
