    Too hot ?

I'm very fortunate. My workshop is housed in a stone-built garage with 18" walls. Stays remarkably cool.

    Can you Identify these Tools?

The bottom item in the picture (the one with the handle) is definitely a hand finishing tool from the shoe industry - although its exact purpose is beyond me. My father in law had boxes of them when he died and they are still sitting in his garage. He was the great-grandson of Edward Green who...

    Maypole

Not really - I know its a long bit of wood with a small platform on top with ribbons attached. I'm actually looking for ideas and suggestions. We are reviving the local MayDay festival and as I "do" wood all eyes are turning to me. I did find a quote online for one for about £2.5K so I thought...

    Legacy item on ebay

He says hes never used it (I didnt ask him this) - none of the other information is there that I can see. Where does it say there is no manual? Where does it say what model it is? Frankly I don't understand your post.

    Legacy item on ebay

Well, I've asked the seller a few questions. Doesn't know the model, never used it and hasn't got a manual

You reckon the turntable rotates automatically with the transverse movement? Would it work like a Rose Engine?

    Buying direct from the US

I've purchased stuff from the States before and if you shop around and insist they use a more economical means of shipping - most appear to use UPS who IMHO are outrageously overpriced - you can get some good deals. Also when buying from the States - or anywhere else for that matter - check on...
