90% of my gear is cordless.
the only corded stuff i have is my lathe, bench grinder, 1 of my routers, vac, and sanders
i dont see the point of cordless sanders, becuase you should always be hooked up to exraction.
the only cordless sander i will probabley ever buy is the festool hybrids.
ply'd a wall from the wrong side. e.g. the edges didn't land on the studs.
failing that, i shook hands with a mitre saw blade. when it was spinning.
it hurt. thats all i will say.

i use my impact for big screws and site work, and then have an milwaukee m12 CD for the smaller screws. but that thing can show its teeth when dropped into gear 1. i have put in a 5x100 with it before.............
at the sametime, it can also be increadibly pricise, probably not cxs precises...
@Cabinetman school fit out is basically going into a school, ripping out an area that needs updating, areas designated by the school, and then refitting with new and updated equipment, usually washrooms and suchlike, although sometimes other things come along, such as making an new school...

i have got a fairly good idea, i want to go into school fit out, i have worked at a company before that does this, and i really enjoyed it.

the pendulum action you describe significantly speeds up the cut, but not sure about the jumping around bit. i use upcut blades only, and a psc420 and it rarely gets jumpy unless i pinch the blade e.g. in a tight turn
