Cabinet hinge for über thick doors...?

This is what I bought and am taking back today. They weren't even close to clearing each other BUT I think they might have supplied the wrong hinge as the ones I received look different to the photos on the website. Well see...

Cabinet hinge for über thick doors...?

🤔 .....heads off to do some research and break my head with maths.....

Cabinet hinge for über thick doors...?

A Parliament hinge would stick out in 8 places and ruin the lines completely. Not sure about those others, I'll look into the specs, thanks!

Cabinet hinge for über thick doors...?

Projects designed around hardware? I agree completely.....now. But that ship has sailed. I'm my defence the brief changed multiple times and so I moved forwards knowing I've seen projects with similar limitations and requirements and so charged ahead confident the hinges would be easy to source...

Cabinet hinge for über thick doors...?

Evening folks, I'm building a lovely big oak unit and the doors have some unusual features that require some hinges that are proving tricky to find. The doors are 20mm thick for the most part with a raised live edge feature that weaves along the whole length of the unit (so 45mm thick at those...

    Affordable grinder help

Thanks both, I just ordered a record power bench grinder. Worked out at 120€ so can't complain (Brit living in France, please forgive the €ness). I'll probably make myself a jig initially and then invest in one at some point in the future. Very much looking forward to getting stuck in to some...

    Affordable grinder help

Morning, I'm finally up and running with a very pleasant little lathe (after a false start which you may have read of in another thread), have purchased some half-decent tools to use (Hamlet) and am now turning my attention (pun just noticed) to a grinder. I've always sharpened all of my...

    Ancient/random lathe help needed please!

Morning all, Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I have now replaced it with another lathe and am much happier (a Holzstar DB 900 that I found going cheap). I like the idea of converting it into a disc sander, I'll look into it. Turned my first ever bowl yesterday as a little test...

    Ancient/random lathe help needed please!

Evening all, So.....I've come into ownership of an old lathe that I need some help bringing into the modern age. The whole thing is a bit cheap and nasty but I only need use of it every now and then to turn some handles, a few table legs occasionally and, if possible, to play around with...

    Mid-level Bandsaw

Just what I needed, more options! o_O No, thanks and had given me a few more choices I'd not come across. The Hammer N4400 it's on my list too. They look pretty much identical, no? Lots to think about and thanks for the intel...

    Mid-level Bandsaw

Yeah, I watched it before trying to get my old Metabo bandsaw set up better but unfortunately it's just not up to the task.

    Mid-level Bandsaw

I would love two saws but I just don't have the space. I have a tiny tiny workshop and the new saw I'll get well have to be on wheels so it can be wheeled out and back in order to maximise useable space. I'm currently thinking of the Laguna 14BX which seems to get lots of good reviews.

    Mid-level Bandsaw

Evening folks, I'm looking to get a new bandsaw and keen to hear from people with experience/knowledge of the various makes/models on offer. I'm a (fairly new) cabinet maker (ex-joiner) willing to spend 2-3k for the right machine (see: gairy.co.uk for examples of what I'm making). Height...

    Router for UJK lift

Howdy all, Thanks for the replies and advice. I have ordered a new Hitachi router (the M12VE) and plan to get a Musclechuck for it. The ones I've found online are the standard length ones surely I need the extended one in order to gain the extra length - anyone know a place with them in...

    Router for UJK lift

As the title suggests I'm looking for a router to mount in my UJK router lift that'll live in my Axminster AT254TS unit. Annoyingly I've got a Makita 3612 but it'll not take the 1/2" collet extension (and sits too low without). I've also got a Ryobi RT1600 but that won't take the universal...
