    Ebony or Sapele?

    Found 3ft length of dark hardwood

    I making something from ash that requires 2 x 3ft lengths of 2" ash laminated together - I have these but I would like to sandwich in a 1/2" of so strip of dark hardwood (sapele etc.)- at least 3ft 1" x 1/2" x 2 1/2" or nearest metric equivalent if anyone can help?     Price of NHL3.5 Lime

    I'm checking the pricing for a building job we are having done on our Ironstone cottage only to find that NHL3,5 Lime has gone up from £13 to c. £32 a 25kg bag since the start of the pandemic yet ordinary cement has hardly changed. Does anybody know why lime is now so expensive?

    Which tracksaw blade to cut melamine mdf?

    I have just bought a length of 18mm melamine covered mdf that I need to rip without chipping. I have a Triton tracksaw that takes 165mm blades 20mm bore. It is currently fitted with Freud 48T which is excellent on birch ply but what blade would be best for the melamine mdf and which make?
