Thanks for the replies. To be honest if not see the shadow line before you guys mentioned it. I’ve had a quick look on YouTube and I think that’s the way forward

Looking for a new Makita mitre saw

I have a Makita LS1018L sliding mitre saw at the moment. I've had this for 5-6 years and it has been great. I'm looking to replace it with a battery (2x 18v) saw but most reviews mention the lack of a laser. Is there a 36v Makita mitre saw with a laser and 260mm blade or do I keep my current...

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

@Spectric & @Ttrees The tyres are the same material by the looks of it. Just rubber but the Bedford ones are a lot thicker than the RP ones. The picture below is a comparison of both. The RP tyre is a used one but not any thinner than the new ones I have fitted. As I'm really busy this time...

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

Not been on here for a while but I've ditched the Bedford Saw & Tool tyres and fitted some genuine Record Power tyres and it's all working as it should.

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

Nigel @sawdustandwax came round last Wednesday to have a look and we managed to get it running without the blade running off. It's not perfect but it runs. So far so good. Thanks for popping by

    Trim / Palm Router Advice

I had a Katsu trim router years ago and when it died I bit the bullet and bought the Makita 18v battery one. Had the Makita one for a few years now and it's absolutely brilliant! @Derek Cohen (Perth Oz) The Makita has 2 LEDs

    Orbital Sander under £200.

I use a Makita sander and it's much quieter than my previous sanders I had. Very well balanced. Also have the Makita 18v one and that's even quieter.

    witch Budget Biscuit Jointer ???

I bought a SIP and it works surprisingly well. I don’t use it often but it’s there when I need it. I think it was only £60-70 new when I bought it years ago.

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

I'll try and have a read of that over the weekend. I have changed both wheel tyres already (which started all this) It used to work flawlessly and even better now I'm back working on my old Clarke mini bandsaw....

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

I think the bearings are okay as the wheels have no play and it has been running good for years. The tyres I have fitted are flat to the wheel with no uneven bits. I remember this being a nightmare to set up when I bought it as I changed the standard blade for a Tuffsaw one. Ever since it has...

Wanted Someone to set up my bandsaw SY S66

I have a Record Power BS250 and have been using this for the last 5+ years. One of the wheel tyres needed replacing so I replaced both just in case. I cannot to get this machine running without the blade running off. The best I got was the blade running in the centre of the top wheel but it was...

Rutland 100mm cyclone dust collector kit DK7204

I don’t think that’ll fit unless it’s possible to remove the extractor bag and connect a pipe straight through the wall? I did look at them but they’ve been out of stock for so long. Same with a lot of axi stuff. have you tried one of these with a 1hp extractor?
