    Repairing laminate/formica

working on a home project using white laminated/formica plywood. When cutting on tablesaw, some small chips on the laminate were created near the plywood edges which are still visible after applying white edge-banding. What is the best way to fix these. I read to use white nail polish. Has...

    Face Frame Hinges

Thanks again and also to Doug71. I wanted to call out trade-hinges for excellent customer service. I ordered them and afterwards received the comment from baldkev. I called them and as the courier had not yet arrived they were happy to add the soft close pistons. Now I'll wait for their...

    Face Frame Hinges

I am building a cabinet and decided to use the american style face frame instead of classic Euro style. I seem to be unable to find reasonable priced cabinet door hinges compatible with face-frame (partial overlay). Amazon's prices are scary high as they are shipped from USA. I need the...

    Bandsaw drift

@novocaine you were right....that bottom right side guide was hiding. Things are much better now and thanks for your help. Tried some cuts and the last 10% drifts just a small amount now but certainly a major improvement. I'll do some more adjustments and also look into getting a better...

    Bandsaw drift

@novocaine Thanks for the explanation. Really helpful. I had thought the bearings needed to touch the blade and the guide to not touch but be close. I have now made some set-up changes. It is improved but still perfect. For the guides, I made the right guide touch the blade and the left...

    Bandsaw drift

Thanks for the reply and @petermillard I love your videos. In fact your Titan bandsaw videos convinced me to try it out. The problem with the drift is even when I do it by hand without the fence I am unable to move the wood back in line. I have upload a short video 40 sec video to explain...

    Bandsaw drift

Hi I have the basic entry level bandsaw from Titan / screwfix. I know it’s not the best of bandsaws However I am getting excessive drift (of a few cm) when cutting even with the fence. The blade seems tight. I wondered if others have had similar experiences and can provide some tips...

Bosch POF 1400 ACE mounting in a router table

I have this router and also use the same trick of a plastic tie to keep the switch on (there seems to be no other way). In terms of adjusting the router height from the top of the table, I have been unable to find a solution to this so far. Would welcome any idea or tips on how to do this

Table Saw - Scheppach or Evolution

Thanks....sorry if I was to buy something like the Kreg Accu-Cut which is should fit onto my Evolution Circular Saw then I'm likely to be good to go and from the responses here would likely get similar accurate cuts compared to a sub 200 Pound Tabelsaw

Table Saw - Scheppach or Evolution

thanks for your answer. I already have an Evolution sliding mitre saw which gives fairly accurate cuts. My main reason for going to a table saw (and yes my budget is limited) is for more accurate ripping as my hand circular saw (also evolutuion) cannot achieve this. Actually I had never...
