    Hi all. I'm making snooker cues as a hobby and wondered on glue options for mainly joining ebony to ash. I've used titebond 2 and gorilla glue. I prefer titebond, but wondered if there were better options. I've seen a mention if hot glue in BBC repair shop and wondered if that would be better.

    Finish advise

    Hi. I'm finishing a project cue that has ebony, redheart and maple in the butt end. I normally just sand, buff with a drill mop and oil with chestnut tung finishing oil. Do you think this will be ok for redheart as it's the first time I've used this wood?

    I've just started to make a few snooker cues and looking for a few ideas from you lovely lot. 1) keeping a shiny finish. I'm finishing with cellulose sanding sealer, then with RAW Linseed oil but the ebony is dulling quickly. Don't want to varnish etc.. I'm going through the grit to 2000 wet...
