The Hardwood Offcut Shop - Brentwood

You're welcome guys, had to share. As much as I'm sure it's a business it had a community feel. Pot of coffee on the counter to help yourself. Tim was more than happy to run things through the planer if it was too wide to deal with at home. Cheers Jim

    Micro Garage

Ah, thanks Chris, I hadn't thought of aluminium, I'll definitely check that out. Thanks woodchips, I have seen those. they do make it quicker to get in and out than the Carcoon, but I worry what a big gust of wind would do.

    Mitre saw dust extractor?

Hi, I use a festool CTL midi with my Bosch mitre saw you can plug the saw into the extractor so it only starts when you push the button on the saw and runs for a couple of seconds after you release it again. It's really has reduced the amount of dust that escapes into the air.

    Insulating my workshop

I used 75mm celotex for mine, It's plenty warm in the winter and remains cool in the summer. I'd have thought 50mm would be fine. I think its more important to make sure there are no gaps. I'm really interested to see pics of a shipping container workshop!. Cheers James

    Table Saw Alignment Startrite TA145

Hi deema, It would make sense that the blade be a slightly further away from the fence at the back to reduce the risk of pinching and kickback and this can be achieved by adjusting the fence to the blade. Table Saw Alignment Startrite TA145

Hi deema, trying to get the mitre slot as near perfectly parallel to the blade as I can. at the moment the blade is slightly closer to the mitre slot at the back of the blade, so when I make a cut with the mitre gauge the back of the blade catches the work piece as it passes completely through...
