Osmo Poly-x raw oil and oak veneers.

Has anyone on here had any issues with applying Osmo Poly-x Raw oil onto oak veneers, as in delamination? I don't to apply to find down the line it delaminates the veneer.

Oak newel post to Oak handrail, which glue?

Righto I'm about to fit my oak newel posts and handrails using loose oak tenons but I'm unsure which glue to use. I'll be taking my time cutting the joint so hopefully no gaps, I'm also thinking of cutting the underneath out on the handrails to slide them in from above with the bottom post...

Oak newel posts, cladding, handrails and glass.

So I am in the middle of redecorating the hallway, stairs and landing. This has been a long on going project due to funds and time but up to yet I've made some under stairs pull out cupboards and started to enclose the boiler. The next part is to replace the original loose and badly damaged...

    How to repair this.

I've seen this new damaged table, originally £500 now down to £200 due to this damage. No other than filling and painting is there any other way of repairing other than buying or making a new leaf.

    Extraction hose and cyclones.

Afternoon, what's everyone's opinions on the following... I want to keep my cyclone and bucket sysyem locked away in the shed and run a 10 meter hose outside to where I do the most of my work. I've got a Nilfisk Aero 26 with what I suspect is a 37mm hose so suction is good and powerful. Will...

    UJK parf dog rail clips.

I'm sure on here I've read that the UJK parf dogs rail clips don't fit and dogs supplied by CNC designs. Is this is true, can the clips be adjusted/adapted to fit the CNC design parf dogs? I don't mind spending the tenner to buy the clips and find out but I'm wondering if anyone else has come...

    Birch ply MFT protection.

So what's the best product to apply to my new birch ply MFT tops. I'd like to water proof them somewhat and make the holes a bit slippier as they are really tight on the dogs.

    Tackling under stairs storage.

How would you tackle this regarding the boxing out. I'm splitting the area into four doors in which the tallest door in front of the gas and electric will be hinged open, the other three will be pull out cupboards. I'm thinking MR MDF and loose tennons to form the shaker style doors. As for...

MFT top, make one or buy in?

I'm wanting an 8x4 mft for my home projects, I have the space to store the mft on its side and use it on a table which breaks down. Now my dilemma is that I've been messed around on a second hand UJK parf guide kit and I really don't want to spend the £150 for a new kit and then the extra on...

    Biscuit jointer.

So I'm looking to purchase a biscuit jointer. I haven't got the money for a new or used festool domino (£500 used) so that out of the question. Now I'll only be using it for DIY and possibly the odd bit for family members so what should I be looking at. I wouldn't mind buying a second one if...

Rutlands pocket hole clamps tool review.

After purchasing a Kreg pocket hole joining kit, I've decided I needed a proper pocket hole clamp due to movement in the joint when glueing up. After searching the web, I decided on the Rutlands clamps due to the price and the fact that they come as a set of four so you can clamp and square up...

Block planes, buy second hand or make one?

So I'm getting more into wood work and less into metal work. I've decided that I would like a small block plane for removing sharp edges and smoothing off butt joints ect... Now I've seen people wax lyrical about the Stanley 220 so are they the be all and end all for a keen advanced DIY person...

    Rutlands pocket hole clamps.

Has anyone on here got any experience of the rutlands pocket hole clamps which come in a set of four. Are they any good or is the price too good to be true as in I should avoid them. I've got a lot of pocket hole jointing to do in 12mm mdf for some Wainscott I'm doing in my house so a clamp to...
